Direct Reports: Sales Staff

Position Description: This position contributes to the success of the dealership by achieving sales goals and objectives relevant to the components of the dealership strategic plan.

Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities): 

• Leading, coaching, training, and motivating a team of salespeople

• Maintaining a fun, energetic and positive work environment

• Assisting Sales Associates in closing sales

• Establishing, communicating, and executing a strategy to achieve all dealership sales goals in alignment with the working schedule.

• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand, and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

• Performs other duties as required or assigned by management.

Qualifications: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily 5 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day. Education & Experience: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively 5 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day.  Ability to read, analyze and interpret written and verbal instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, including writing grammatically correct emails and text messages.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.  

Mathematical Skills: 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages 5 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day.

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written or oral form. The above reasoning ability must be meet regularly during the employees regularly required work shifts of 5 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day.  

Other Skills & Abilities:

Skill and ability to operate a computer.  Skill and ability to organize and prioritize work.  Skill and ability to meet deadlines and operate office equipment.  Skill and ability to use company software. The above Skills and Abilities must be meet regularly during the employees regularly required work shifts of 5 days a week, 8 to 10 hours per day.

May require walking primarily on an unleveled surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. 

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-30 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
